Back Pack Food Drive
During our November 2016 meeting, it was unanimously approved by our membership to eliminate our November Potluck and sponsor a food drive. At that time Nancy Wiseman and Jane Adolf graciously volunteered to spearhead this endeavor. Their research identified the Serenity Center of Shelbyville as a most worthy local charity.
The Serenity Center exists to walk alongside those in the midst of their struggles. They serve as a bridge between local churches, ministries and agencies to bring serenity, healing and health by offering no-cost counseling, recovery programs and food to those in need.
Their Food Bank also provides food for the Back Pack Program. Qualified children are provided a back pack filled with easy open and healthy food to sustain them during the weekends when adequate nourishment is not available to them.
Thank you to all our members who generously gave to this project.

Jane reported the donations were very appreciated and many thanks all around to our Guild for our generosity.
